When it comes to creating a custom carrying case for fragile gear, an individual can easily get overwhelmed with all the options on the market. When shopping with Princeton Cases, you can rest assured that you will be getting the highest quality blow molded cases that are designed specifically for your needs. From initially brainstorming through delivery, our team takes pride in the cases we design and build.
Below, we want to address some common questions we are asked during the production phase.
What is the first step in designing cases? You need to take a full account of what you want to be carried in a single case. We make larger cases with wheels, as well as smaller versions with shoulder straps and handholds. Once you know what you want to carry, we can begin laying items out and taking measurements. For optimal safety, while carrying, we keep items at a minimum of 2 cm away from case walls and 1cm between the other items inside the case.
There are many foam choices, so which is best for me? Choosing foam depends on three main factors that all carry equal weight. We must consider size, weight, and fragility. We work thoroughly with each client to ensure that the perfect foams are chosen.
What materials are used? The most common material we use is polypropylene (PP). For more significant cases, we use acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). For smaller storage boxes we use polycarbonate (PC). We choose the appropriate material for each custom case we build. No two jobs are the same, and so we approach each job with individualized solutions.
Please, do not wait to call our team for more questions. We look forward to hearing from you.
